Twitter adds Search function!

It’s a beautiful day for us Twitter maniacs for now we can search Twitter post without leaving the site using their new search box. Before the search box addition, which was added earlier today, I would search Twitter posts using www.terraminds.com/twitter/ and Twitteroll.

What Twitter search means for Social Media Marketers

being able to search Twitter posts by topic means you can follow Twitterers that share your interest or that of your client. This is significant because usually people will follow you back if your posts and links speaks to their interest. This serves as a great network building tool because it allows you to use this micro-platform to deliver your message instantaneously. Let’s say I wanted to increase traffic for www.buyyourfriendadrink.com, a site that allows you to buy your friends drinks online by sending them redeemable codes to their mobile phones. I would do a Twitter search around bars, drinking, liquor, party, and build a network of people interested in drinking. Then I would periodically Twit the BYFAD.com link along with any relevant promotion and BANG! You got instant traffic, conversation=awareness, registration.

What other ways can Twitter be used?
